What Is Strip Blackjack?

General Rules of the Game

After you make your wager, the live dealer will give you two face-up cards, and take one up-card and one down-card for himself. Cards from two through ten are worth their face value. They can either take one more card, stand (receive no more cards), double their original bet, surrender, or split. The split is interesting, because it gives you the possibility to play with two hands. When your first hand consists of two equal cards, you may split it, and the dealer will provide you with two other cards for each of those. Still, any 21 after the split will not be seen as blackjack, unlike the dealer’s hand.

When the players are done with their actions, the dealer will play accordingly. They will have to draw one more card if the sum of the two they already have is up to 16. If it’s 17, then that option won’t be available. Yet, there is also the soft 17 rule, which means that a dealer can play up to 17 if they draw either an Ace with a 6, or an Ace with two 3s.

Strip Blackjack

With Strip Blackjack, you’ll be using fewer card decks. Blackjack games use up to eight decks of 52 cards. Still, Vegas Strip, developed by Microgaming, uses only four, and this means your house edge is going to be lower.

Blackjack Rules

Now the dealer turns over the “hole” card and acts on the hand according to the rules of the game. The dealer must draw up to a “hard 17”. An Ace and a 6 is considered a “soft 17”, and forces the dealer to draw an additional card. With a total of “hard 17” or more, the dealer must “stand”. At the end of the game, if your count is the same as the dealer’s it is a “push” (Tied).

All wagers shall be made by placing gaming chips on the appropriate areas of the blackjack layout. All winning wagers made shall be paid at odds to 1 to 1 with the exception of blackjack with shall be paid at odds of 3 to 2 and Insurance* which shall be paid at odds of 2 to 1.

Once the dealer has removed the first card of any hand from the shoe, you may not handle, remove, or alter any wagers that you have made until the hand is completed. Once a wager is on the insurance line, a wager to double down, or wager to split pairs has been made and confirmed by the dealer, no player may handle, remove or alter such wagers until the hand is completed.

The dealer collects all losing insurance wages before continuing the hand.

Lucky Ladies

This is standard 6-deck Blackjack with optional bonus wagers.

In addition to the Blackjack wager there are two optional wagers — Lucky Ladies and Lucky Ladies Bonus Jackpot. You place these bets at the same time your primary bet is made.

You are betting on whether or not your first two cards equal a total of twenty. Additional bonuses are paid if your two cards are suited (e.g. Ace of Clubs and Nine of Clubs) or matched (e.g. two identical cards such as two King of Diamonds). Special bonuses are awarded if your Queen of Hearts pair occurs at the same time the dealer has a blackjack.

The outcome of the primary blackjack bet has no bearing on the Lucky Ladies bet and vice versa. You can win on one and lose on the other.

Each player’s highest winner will be paid only.

Lucky Ladies Double Deck

In addition to the Blackjack wager there are two optional wagers — Lucky Ladies and Lucky Ladies Bonus Jackpot – which will be paid on hands totaling 20 using the first two cards dealt.

All Lucky Ladies rules apply unless noted below.

PROCEDURES OF PLAY:

1. Allow the players to split Aces up to four (4) times with one (1) down card (hit card) for each.
2. Players may double down on any two cards.
3. Players may play:
   1. Two (2) hands at double the minimum to the table maximum bet.
   2. Three (3) hands at five times the minimum to the table maximum bet.
4. First two cards dealt face down.
5. Once the hand is acted upon they cannot go back to the previously acted upon hand for any reason.
6. NEW PLAYERS MAY NOT ENTER UNTIL THE BEGINNING OF THE SHOE. NO MID-SHOE ENTRY.
7. The shuffle will be thoroughly completed by an automatic shuffler as described in regular Lucky Ladies Blackjack.
8. Player may double down after a split except on an Ace.
9. No surrender.
10. The dealer will use two cut cards, one to cut with, the other used to cover the back of the deck so cards are not exposed.

Spanish 21 'Up & Down'

All standard PALACE CASINO Blackjack procedures will be used with the following exceptions:

5 decks are used in Spanish 21 (a total of 48 cards per deck: 2-9, J, Q, K, A). All of the number “10” cards and jokers are removed.

1. Players win on all Blackjacks and arepaid immediately. Note the following:
   1. Dealer’s up card is a face card. Pay the bet 3:2 and remove hand before peeking under face card.
   2. Dealer’s up card is an Ace. Pay the bet 3:2 and all other players may take insurance, including players that have been paid on their Blackjacks that round. If a player with a Blackjack doesn’t take insurance, remove hand before peeking.
   3. Doubling down on a two card 21 (Blackjack) is permitted. Instead of taking the Blackjack payout, a player may elect to double down.
2. Players win on all hands totaling 21 and are paid immediately. Doubling down on a three or more card soft 21 is permitted, instead of taking the immediate 21 payout, a player may elect to double down.
3. Pair Splitting
   1. Players may split cards of equal value, including Aces, creating up to four hands.
   2. Hitting or doubling of split hands including Aces is allowed.
   3. Bonuses are paid on non-doubled split hands. Splitting or doubling VOIDS SUPER BONUSES.
4. Double Down
   1. Players may double down once on any total, on 2, 3, 4 or more cards INCLUDING after splitting.
   2. Players may double down for less.
   3. Bonuses ARE NOT paid on doubled hands. Winning double down hands are always paid even money.
5. Double-Double Down
   1. Once a player elects to double and receives a double card, the player then has the option to double-double down (double his total wager again), rescue the last doubled portion of the bet, or stand.
   2. A player may double the total wager up to 3x, once via double down and twice via double down, creating a maximum wager up to 8x the original wager.
   3. After doubling a third time and receiving a double card, a player only has the option to rescue or stand.
   4. Doubling for less is not allowed on the double-double down, however, the double-double down wager amount would be capped at maximum wager allowed. If a player doubles for less, the last doubled portion of the bet would be that lesser amount.
6. Double Down Rescue
   1. After doubling, players may choose to Rescue (take back) the doubled portion of the bet and forfeit the original bet. Busted doubles CAN’T BE RESCUED.
   2. Double down rescues should not be confused with or called Surrender. A player may surrender any original 2-card hands after the dealer has checked for Blackjack and always gives up to 1/2 of his/her bet. Rescue on the other hand applies only to RESCUING the doubled hand, which will be 3 or more cards, and the player can only RESCUE the doubled portion, which could be LESS than the original bet.
7. Insurance is permitted. Players may bet up to 1/2 the original bet on any dealer’s Ace up card, including a PAID Blackjack.
8. Late Surrender Allowed. PLAYERS CANNOT SURRENDER AGAINST A DEALER BLACKJACK. A player may surrender (forfeit) 1/2 of his original bet, on his first two cards only, against any dealer’s up cards. If dealer’s up card is a face or an Ace, the dealer must check for Blackjack before the player may surrender.
9. The Super Bonus payout requires no special or side bet. When a player’s first three cards are suited 7’s and the dealer’s up card is any 7, that player wins a $1000.00 Super Bonus when a $5.00 minimum bet is played, or a $5,000.00 Super Bonus when a $25.00 minimum bet is played. All other players of that round receive a $50.00 envy bonus.

All Bonus Payouts are made on the following non-doubled hands totaling 21:

MATCH THE DEALER BONUS

In addition to the regular Spanish 21 bet, a player can make two side wagers: Match the Dealer “Up” Card wager or Match the Dealer “Down” Card wager, betting that either of his first two cards will exactly match the dealer’s up or down card in rank. There are only two levels of pay-offs, a suited rank match and an unsuited rank match. In order to play one or both Match the Dealer wagers, the player must make a regular Spanish 21 wager. In order to make a Match the Dealer “Down” Card wager, a player must also make a Match the Dealer “Up” Card wager for that same hand. Matches for the winning player/players will be paid according to the payout schedule below.

MATCH THE DEALER PROGRESSIVE BONUS

The progressive wager is an optional $1 (only) wager. The player must make a minimum base game wager in order to qualify for play.

After all initial cards are dealt and prior to the base game being played, the dealer will check to see if either of the player’s original two cards match the dealer’s UP card. There are two payoff amounts for each respective wager, a Suited rank match and a Non-suited rank match. Players are paid for each card where there is a wager and a match. Once all the Match the Dealer bonus wager payouts are made the base 21 game is played.

Blackjack Dealer Ace 1 Or 11 0

Either immediately after dealer’s down card is exposed, or after the 21 game is played and as the dealer is settling the 21 game wagers, the dealer checks the original two cards of all players with the Match the Dealer Down Card Bonus wager to see if either of the player’s original two cards match the dealer’s down card in rank. Players are paid for each card where there is a match. Match the Dealer Progressive Payouts are paid as follows:

When a player that makes a Match the Dealer Progressive wager gets 2 suited Matches (both of the player’s initial two cards match the Dealer’s Up and/or Down Card in rank and suit), that player will win a Progressive Award of either 10% or 100% of the progressive jackpot for the 2 Suited Matches, as described above.

If there are multiple 2 Suited Match wins in the same round of play, then multiple Progressive awards of either 10% or 100% of the progressive jackpot will be paid. When multiple Progressive Awards occur in the same round of play, they are paid in sequence of occurrence. In other words, if the 2nd player from the dealer’s left hits a 10% or 100% award, the award for the 2nd player from the dealer’s left will be subtracted from the progressive meter before the amount of the 10% or 100% award for the 4th player from the dealer’s left is determined.
